Magnet+ Celebrates 11 years of Partnership with LGBT Ireland During Pride Month

Magnet+ is continuing its long-standing support of LGBT Ireland this Pride Month by providing complimentary phone and connectivity services throughout the month of June, marking an 11-year customer partnership between the two organisations.

As Ireland’s largest independent connectivity network, Magnet+ has supported LGBT Ireland for over a decade by providing reliable communications services such as Ultimate Broadband and Magnet Talk. These services help power the organisation’s national support infrastructure, including the National LGBT Helpline and peer-to-peer support services.

Pride Month represents one of the busiest periods of the year for LGBT Ireland, with increased demand for support and information services across the LGBTQ+ community. Reliable and resilient connectivity & voice services are essential to ensuring these services remain accessible to individuals nationwide during this critical period.

To support LGBT Ireland during June, Magnet+ is sponsoring its Ultimate Broadband and Magnet Talk services free of charge for the duration of Pride Month. This initiative enables LGBT Ireland to redirect resources towards the continued delivery and development of its frontline support services.

In addition, Magnet+ employees, alongside colleagues across Speed Fibre Group, will support LGBT Ireland throughout June through a series of internal fundraising and awareness initiatives taking place across office locations nationwide. Activities will include Rainbow Days across offices, fundraising ice cream truck events, and guest speaker sessions hosted in partnership with LGBT Ireland to help promote awareness, inclusion, and education around a range of LGBTQ+ topics during Pride Month.

Over the course of the partnership, Magnet+ connectivity solutions have supported the evolution of LGBT Ireland’s service infrastructure from a number of regional helplines into a nationally connected support network operated by volunteers across Ireland.

Commenting on the partnership, Patrick Masterson, Managing Director of Magnet+, said:

“We are proud to continue supporting LGBT Ireland through the provision of complimentary Ultimate Broadband and Magnet Talk services throughout Pride Month.

Our partnership with LGBT Ireland spans more than 11 years and reflects the importance Magnet+ places on supporting organisations that deliver essential services to communities across Ireland.

Pride Month is a particularly significant period for LGBT Ireland, with increased demand across its helpline and support services. Reliable connectivity is fundamental to ensuring these services remain accessible, responsive, and available to those who rely on them.

At Magnet+, we understand the critical role connectivity plays in enabling organisations to operate effectively, and we are pleased to continue supporting LGBT Ireland and the important work they do nationwide.”

Commenting on the partnership, Anne Byrne, CEO of LGBT Ireland, said:

“Magnet+ powers the National LGBT Helpline, and this support in kind will directly contribute to ensuring LGBTQI+ people across Ireland can continue to access support throughout Pride Month.

June is the busiest period of the year for the National LGBT Helpline. While Pride Month is a time of celebration and visibility for many, it can also be an especially difficult time for individuals who may feel isolated, unsupported, or unable to be open about who they are.

Reliable connectivity is critical to the operation of our services, and Magnet+ has been a trusted partner to LGBT Ireland for more than 11 years. Their continued support throughout June helps ensure our helpline and peer support services remain available to anyone who needs support and a listening ear.”

The ongoing partnership between Magnet+ and LGBT Ireland reflects Magnet+’s continued commitment to delivering reliable connectivity solutions that support organisations providing essential services across Ireland.
